Litsents eeldab eelkõige:
Rakenduse kasutamiseks ostke kehtiv litsents Odoo Apps pood. Eeldatakse, et iga tootmisandmebaasi jaoks tuleb osta üks koopia (ost annab ka õiguse installida rakendus arendus- ja testkeskkondadesse ilma piiranguteta).
faOtools rakenduste lähtekoodi on keelatud panna kohtadesse, kust seda saab avalikult alla laadida. Eelkõige on rangelt keelatud lisada moodul avalikesse GitHubi hoidlatesse (kasutage privaatseid) .
Kehtiv litsents lubab kõigil arendada oma mooduleid faOtools moodulite põhjal teegina. Selliseid mooduleid võib levitada (müüa või avaldada), kuid need peavad sisaldama originaalrakendust sõltuvustes (__manifest__.py või __openerp__.py failid) ja ühilduvat litsentsi. Samal ajal on keelatud muuta moodulite lähtekoodi ning jagada või müüa selliseid tuletatud lahendusi.
Odoo müüjad ei tohiks rakendusi klientidele edasi müüa. Kliendid peaksid need ostma otse Odoo poest.
